2011 Release Deadline

FLIPPIN UNITED
released (6)
Roy Williams (wr), Lee Evans (wr), Kevin Walter (wr), Eddie Royal (wr), Mardy Gilyard (wr), David Buehler (k)
draft picks (6)
#'s 9, 20, 29, 35, 49, 55
summary
United has six draft picks to work with but they'll need to be very creative with them. They will only have $3.94 to spend, which averages out to about 0.6 per pick. United will need to look through the available free agent pool as they'll likely only be able to afford one rookie. Perhaps trading away picks for future 2012 draft picks would be a good idea for the team.

DENVER TOMCATS
released (5)
Matt Moore (qb), Carnell Williams, Jerrico Cotchery (wr), Jason Avant (wr), Kevin Boss (te)
draft picks (7)
#'s 14, 19, 23, 25, 30, 34, 44
summary
Though they will be without a 1st Rd Pick, this will be the most active draft in the Tomcats franchise history, with a league-most seven total picks. They've been outstanding at drafting in recent years with two straight Rookie of the Year winners and a Best Draft selection winner in 2008.

MYRTLE BEACH 328'S
released (5)
Matt Hasselbeck (qb), Shonn Greene (rb), Marion Barber (rb), Visanthe Shiancoe (te), Matt Prater (k)
draft picks (5)
#'s 5, 12, 17, 31, 45
summary
328's made a profitable swap of the #2 overall pick dropping two spots to #4 while also gaining A II P's 1st Round Pick in 2012. The releases are a little surprising mostly because they are players that have contributed - even as recent as last year when they total a combined nine starts.

TUCSON A II P
released (4)
Brett Favre (qb), Tarvaris Jackson (qb), Brandon Jackson (rb), Derrick Wad (rb)
draft picks (7)
#'s 1, 2, 5, 13, 23, 25, 37
summary
A II P began with picks 1, 3, 4 then traded a 1st Rd Pick in 2012 to own picks 1, 2, 3. Then they swapped #3 for #5 to acquire a 2nd Rd Pick to go along with the four 3rd Rd Picks they owned - two of which they then traded for rb Ben Tate. So after all is said and done A II P will have a league-high seven total picks in four rounds (unless of course they decide to make yet another trade before the August draft).

TOLEDO TORMENTA
released (4)
Chris Ivory (rb), Ryan Torain (rb), Chester Taylor (rb), Randy McMichael (te)
draft picks (7)
#'s 3, 7, 8, 11, 15, 26, 40
summary
With a league-high seven total picks, this will be Tormenta most active draft since arguably the franchise best draft - 2007, when they acquired Adrian Peterson, Marshawn Lynch, Kevin Kolb and Steven Smith. They've been making moves both to acquire picks and move as high as #3 overall. With three RBs cut the team only owns 4 RBs and 4 WRs on the roster so they will likely look at those positions for depth in this years draft.

D.C. H
released (4)
Jon Kitna (qb), Stephen McGee (qb), Jabar Gaffney (wr), Nick Folk (k)
draft picks (1)
#'s 33
summary
H gave up their two 1st Rd picks (#7 and 8) in the Roddy White trade, they traded the 2nd Rd pick in last year draft and their 3rd Rd Pick in a trade made two seasons ago. This will mark the franchises second consecutive draft without a 1st Rd pick and (pending any trades) they will wait until #33 overall to make their first and only pick - which based on the newly imposed rule will not have to be a kicker.

OUTER BANKS LIGHTNING
released (3)
Billy Volek (qb), Mike Tolbert (rb), Willis McGahee (rb)
draft picks (3)
#'s 10, 18, 27
summary
Lightning has a history for taking QB's in the 1st Rd (David Carr, Philip Rivers, Eli Manning, Matt Ryan, Brady Quinn, Josh Freeman) and they enter the draft with only two QBs on the roster (albeit they are both reliable every week starters - Rivers and Ryan). Could another QB fall to them at #10, and will they pull the trigger on one of them? If so, which one would it be?

MACUNGIE O'S
released (3)
Troy Smith (qb), Andrew Quarless (te), Josh Scobee (k)
draft picks (2)
#'s 6, 16
summary
The O's will have just over $3 to spend on two picks after trading away their 3rd Rd Pick before last years draft. It will be interesting to see the direction the teams goes with this draft as the O's have taken a RB in the 1st Rd in four of the last five drafts, and the current roster contains 7 RBs, 7 WRs, 4 QBs, and 4 TEs.

LOS ANGELES LAKE SHOW
released (3)
Davone Bess (wr), Devin Hester (wr), Travis Beckum (te)
draft picks (1)
#'s 22
summary
Pending any trades this draft will be the first year this franchises has ever drafted less then three players. At the moment they will have just one pick (#22).However they have already positioned themselves strong for the 2012 Draft with two 1st and two 2nd Rd picks.

LAS VEGAS 69ERS
released (3)
Derek Anderson (qb), Vince Young (qb), Chris Cooley (te)
draft picks (1)
#'s 30
summary
For a franchise that has made twenty-five 1st Rd picks all-time (by far the league-most), this will surprisingly be another quiet year for the 69ers, who will be without a 1st Rd pick for the second time in the last three years. In fact with only one draft pick (#30) this will be the least active draft year in the franchises history. They will have only 1.79 to spend on one pick.
