"Ohh, you've got so much, so much, so much...."
The 2023 season has reached it's midpoint. The time
to celebrate and reflect on past success while openly
accepting and excitingly anticipating the future
challenges await. All ten teams enter the second
half with legitimate Prestige Playoffs and thus
Championship hopes still in reach. Both
divisions remain wide open with all teams within
a couple games of each other. The American League
leading Tomcats have had to overcome a Week 1 injury
to qb Aaron Rodgers and now a recent injury to qb
Kirk Cousins (the lead scoring QB of the first half)
to lead the American League thanks in large part
to the explosiveness from the wr position - notably
Tyreek Hill who is the Player of the First Half,
scoring 162 pts. Hill is on pace for 263 which would
break the all-time scoring record of 243 points
(set by wr Randy Moss in 2007). The National League
is lead by two-time reigning division champion H,
who enters the second half a league best 6-2 with
the most points scored. The team of October was
Lake Show, who after an 0-4 September, they went
4-0 in the month and were the highest scoring team
of October. It's clear nothing will be clinched
or settled until at least the end of November or
early December when teams begin to really start
building momentum for the stretch run. The next
few weeks will be critical for teams to put themselves
in the right position so they have a chance to carry
that momentum towards and through the postseason.
